What have I done?!

Just in case you wonder how I'm updating this blog, I found a tree
with free WiFi...

Firstly a huge thank you to Dad for the lift to Gatwick train station,
as well as Sarah & Hannah for their donations!
The train ride to Penzance was an interesting one. Some seriously nice
rolling countryside which until Plymouth, was accompanied by fantastic
sunshine! Alas it was too good to be true and by the time the train
pulled up in Penzance, the heavens had opened and the reality of my
situation was more than apparent.

Tourist info wasn't much help either when all the info they had was
that no buses were running to Land's End... even though setting a tent
up in this weather wasn't going to be much fun either. After an hour
and a half of walking round this pirates wet dream, I finally found a
B&B charging less than £100,000 per night... damn these walkers!!!

Hopefully tomorrow starts less soggy and the west country starts being
a bit more welcoming!

'til then people :)

Thank you Nan, Julie & Cerith

Thanks to my Nan, Aunt and Uncle, the total has officially risen over the £500 mark! This is excellent news as it means we are over 50% of the way to the target of £1000.

Keep up the fantastic work people, as I'm leaving first thing in the morning.  Spread the word to friends and family or anyone at work too.  See you all in late July :)

Thank you Mark & Jane!

Turned the laptop on this morning to find yet another great boost to the cause thanks to Mark & Jane!
This is really helping to spur me on, especially as I leave very early tomorrow.

Can't thank you both enough :)

Thanks Steve!

Thank you Dad for getting in contact with Steve Harrop, who donated a whopping £50 to the cause today!
This takes us over the £400 mark and nicely gives me a boost of joy just in time for me leaving for Land's End.

Just what the doctor ordered!

Sunday 26 April 2009

Thank you everyone.

A giant thank you to Chris, Jade and Kitty for their donations this week.
Fingers crossed the donations keep coming whilst I'm away...

Speaking of which, I leave on Wednesday morning!

Overly heavy bag - CHECK...
Sense of dread - CHECK...
lack of preparation - BIG CHECK

We're at £300 and rising!

Thanks to Mum, Adam, Tom and Tracy for pushing us over the £300 mark this week!  Hopefully with a few more donations and some fundraising along the way we can put a dent in the target!

The Kindness of strangers!

I cannot explain how happy it makes me to see that the kindness of strangers is still around even during these mad times.
A huge thank you to Shane Downes for his donation this evening, which has taken us almost to the £300 mark only days after reaching the £200 goal!

Keep up the good work people :)

Wednesday 1 April 2009

We've reached over £200!

High fives, or possibly big tens for my bro Alex and Tom this morning for taking us over £200!

This is fantastic news as I wasn't expecting this to happen so soon!
Thanks everyone for your donations :)
